Madeline provides strategic counsel and communications support to financial sponsors, including private equity and real assets firms as well as their portfolio companies, across a broad range of situations. Her areas of expertise include:
Financial Sponsors
She advises financial sponsors and their portfolio companies on strategic communications related to fundraising, investment activity, corporate developments and investor and media relations. Current and former clients include Amulet Capital, Apollo, Bansk Group, Blackstone, Centerbridge, Cerberus, Cinven, Cornell Capital, Fundamental Advisors, Gemspring, GreenPoint Partners, Gridiron, Kayne Anderson, Knox Lane, KSL Capital Partners, L Catterton, Platinum Equity, Quantum Capital Group, Shorenstein and ZCG.
Mergers & Acquisitions
Assignments include advising First Reserve on its sale of Intero, GridTek Utility Services, USA DeBusk and CHA; Oaktree and Centerbridge on the acquisition of OTG Management; Apollo on its acquisition of Brightspeed; Blackstone on its sale of Simply Self Storage; GIC on its acquisitions of Summit and STORE Capital; Centerbridge Real Estate on its acquisition and subsequent joint venture with Suntex Marinas; Cinven on its acquisitions of Archer and TaxAct, and sale of JAGGAER; NiSource on its sale of a minority stake in NIPSCO to Blackstone; Kayne Anderson on its merger of Kayne Anderson Energy Infrastructure Fund and Kayne Anderson NextGen Energy & Infrastructure; KSL on its acquisition of Martin Resorts; and Quantum on its sale of Rockcliff.
Public and Investor Relations
She counsels clients on strategically elevating their profiles and enhancing their corporate communications strategy through corporate positioning, thought leadership, employee and investor communications and conference engagement. She also works closely with her clients to manage investor communications at both the GP- and portfolio-level and provides support with presentation training and materials development for LP conferences.
Fundraising
She advises financial sponsors throughout the entire fundraising lifecycle from fund and strategy launches to ongoing marketing activities, interim capital raises and final fund closes.
Crisis and Reputation Management
She advises financial sponsors and their portfolio companies experiencing transformations and/or challenging corporate developments, including leadership transitions, workforce reductions and corporate issues, restructurings and litigation.
Madeline joined Joele Frank in 2022. Prior to Joele Frank, Madeline worked in the Transactions & Financial Communications practice group at FGS Global. She received a BA in Philosophy and American Studies from Georgetown University.
