Director

Helena advises companies at the nexus of reputation management, shareholder engagement, strategic communications, and global public affairs. She assists clients across industries in aligning corporate communications with stakeholder expectations through corporate reporting and board advisory. With a pragmatic and risk-focused approach, she helps clients anticipate regulatory shifts and manage reputational risk in complex, high-stakes environments.

Governance and Corporate Stewardship

She helps elevate governance, proxy and corporate stewardship reporting to meet investor expectations and priority international reporting standards. Working closely with senior leaders, subject-matter experts, and key stakeholders, she develops clear, tailored corporate narratives that reflect strategic priorities, effective environmental and social stewardship and robust governance oversight.

Crisis Communications and Reputation Management

Helena develops communication strategies and crisis response plans to protect corporate reputation in high-risk situations, including government investigations, leadership transitions, litigation, shareholder activism, social media attacks, and workforce restructuring.

Shareholder Engagement

Helena helps prepare Boards and executive teams for in-season and off-season shareholder engagement to facilitate an effective dialogue amid the evolving engagement landscape. She develops targeted agendas and investor-focused messaging on strategic priorities, board oversight and director qualifications to support meaningful conversations with shareholders.

Public Relations

She works with investors, media and clients to shape impactful messaging and corporate positioning across channels, including social media, corporate websites, governance disclosures, and news outlets. She has counseled on global external engagement strategies and multi-stakeholder partnerships that enhance visibility, build thought leadership, and advance business priorities.

Helena joined Joele Frank in 2024 from APCO, a global advisory and advocacy firm. Earlier in her career, she served at the Belgian Mission to the United Nations. She received an MA in History from the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
