Director

Elizabeth provides strategic counsel and communications support to companies across industries on a wide range of high-profile situations, including investor relations and corporate communications, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism, restructurings and bankruptcies, and crisis and issues management. She also works with company executives on media, corporate narrative and presentation training.

Investor Relations, Public Relations and Media Training

Elizabeth works closely with clients to develop effective IR and financial communications programs, as well as enhance their overall corporate communications strategy. This includes profile-raising initiatives, thought leadership, investor day planning, employee communications, quarterly earnings support, and equity story refinement. Elizabeth helps companies to reinvent and enhance their corporate and equity narratives, working closely with executives to ensure alignment of the company’s corporate messaging across its core stakeholders. Elizabeth also assists with the firm’s media and presentation training of C-suite executives and company spokespeople.

Crisis and Issues Management

Elizabeth supports management teams and boards of directors during times of crisis or change, including planned and unplanned leadership changes, government investigations and regulatory actions, workforce reductions, facility closures, cybersecurity breaches, product recalls, corporate reorganizations, workplace misconduct, and litigation.

Mergers and Acquisitions

Elizabeth has advised on a range of transaction types including friendly, unsolicited, take-private and spin-offs. Select notable transactions include Choice Hotels in its takeover proposal for Wyndham Hotels & Resorts; Neiman Marcus in its strategic investment by FarFetch; Rothy’s in its strategic investment by Alpargatas; Varian in its sale to Siemens Healthineers; Forescout in its sale to Advent International; Pluralsight in its sale to Vista Equity Partners; and Neiman Marcus in its pending sale to HBC.

Shareholder Activism

Elizabeth supports companies in private and public activism situations, as well as proxy contests. She has helped defend companies against Ancora Advisors, Elliott Management, Engine Capital, Legion Partners, Starboard Value and Wellington Management.

Bankruptcy and Restructuring

Elizabeth advises clients on Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings and Section 363 asset sales. Notable assignments include SVB Financial Group, RentPath, Avianca Holdings, Save-A-Lot and Serta Simmons Bedding.

Elizabeth joined Joele Frank in 2019. She received a BA in Media Studies from the University of California, Berkeley.
