Eliza Rothstein

Managing Director

Eliza provides strategic counsel and communications support to companies across industries involved in a variety of special situations. She also assists clients with their ongoing investor relations and corporate communications programs. Her areas of expertise include:

Mergers & Acquisitions

She has worked with clients on both friendly and contested M&A transactions, including: Kansas City Southern on its acquisition by Canadian Pacific and unsolicited offer from Canadian National; Thermo Fisher Scientific on its acquisition of PPD; Rackspace on its go-private transaction with Apollo Global Management; CenturyLink on its merger with Level 3; and Agrium and PotashCorp on their merger of equals.

Shareholder Activism

She has advised companies in both public and private activist situations, including: Magellan (Starboard); L Brands (Barington); Procter & Gamble (Trian); and Buffalo Wild Wings (Marcato).

Crisis Management

She assists senior management teams and boards of directors in management succession and unplanned leadership changes, earnings surprises, litigation, worksite violence and regulatory inquiries.

Investor Relations and Public Relations

She works closely with senior management teams to enhance their overall communications strategy, including quarterly earnings preparation, investor events and internal communications programs.

Eliza started her career at Joele Frank in 2015 and re-joined the firm as a Managing Director in 2025. Prior to re-joining, she attended business school full time and worked in the Strategic Advisory Group at PJT Partners, where she focused on the consumer sector. Eliza received a BA from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
