Christina supports clients in developing bespoke shareholder engagement strategies and impactful communication narratives to drive favorable vote outcomes in contentious director elections, executive compensation and governance proposals at annual meetings. She advises clients on elevating proxy disclosures to align with leading governance practices and helps prepare Boards and executive teams for in-season and off-season shareholder engagement in today’s evolving stewardship landscape. Her work has been instrumental in securing key proxy advisor vote recommendations and achieving successful outcomes against a broad range of shareholder activists.
Governance and Corporate Stewardship
Christina supports clients across all stages of shareholder engagement, including nuanced analyses of shareholder feedback and issue-specific sentiment to prepare Boards and management teams for effective shareholder dialogue. She collaborates closely with clients to develop tailored messaging for investors, employees and media on Board effectiveness, corporate governance, executive compensation programs, business-aligned sustainability strategies and growth initiatives.
Shareholder Activism Defense
Christina has experience working with companies to develop effective defense narratives, compelling investor focused messaging and employee communications in high-profile activist situations and proxy fights opposing Starboard Value, Legion Partners, Third Point, HG Vora and others.
Transactions and Special Situations
Christina has supported clients in a wide range of friendly and unsolicited hostile transactions, including those requiring complex shareholder solicitation processes. Select projects include Twitter in its sale to Elon Musk, Entegris in its acquisition of CMC Materials, Bristol Myers Squibb in its acquisition of and integration with Turning Point Therapeutics, Magellan in its merger with ONEOK, EngageSmart’s sale to Vista Equity Partners and Medallia’s sale to Thoma Bravo.
Christina joined Joele Frank in 2020. She received a BA in Psychology from Amherst College.
