Mergers & Acquisitions
She has advised on a variety of transaction types, including friendly and contested, go-private and spin-off. She has supported companies in public and private activist situations opposite some of the most notable activist investors, including Starboard Value, Elliott, JANA, HG Vora, Land & Buildings, Blackwells Capital, Sarissa, Engaged Capital, Third Point, Voce Capital, Barington and Soroban Capital.
Restructuring & Bankruptcy
She has assisted companies involved in out-of-court financial restructurings and in-court Chapter 11 reorganizations. Select assignments include: JCPenney, Rite Aid, Ascena Retail, Express, Frontier Communications, High Ridge Brands, EP Energy, Windstream, Libbey Glass, Air Methods, Cyxtera, Hornblower and Mallinckrodt, among others.
Crisis and Special Situation Communications
She has experience supporting clients with crisis preparedness and responses related to a range of issues including civil and criminal litigation, reputational attacks, misconduct allegations, ethical violations, regulatory inquiries and SEC investigations, product recalls, short attack campaigns, data breaches and other cybersecurity incidents, corporate reorganizations, facility closures, workforce reductions and unplanned leadership changes.
Investor Relations & Public Relations
She works with clients to develop and enhance their overall communications strategy, assisting with corporate positioning and messaging, quarterly earnings preparation, thought leadership and profile-raising opportunities, investor conferences, analyst days, annual shareholder meetings and internal employee communications. Select clients have included 3M, American Airlines, Aptiv, Grainger, Host Hotels & Resorts, Jacobs, Lockheed Martin, Lowe’s, Mastercard, Motorola Solutions, Martin Marietta, Norfolk Southern, Amneal Pharmaceuticals, PENN Entertainment and Teladoc.
Maeve joined Joele Frank in 2019. She earned a B.A. in Economics and Art History from the University of Virginia.
